I'm a Headband Newbie

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having splendid weeks.

I have an extra long weekend - off work today and tomorrow as well as the weekend! I'm pretty excited about this, seeing as the weather has been absolutely gorgeous these past couple of days and I would much rather not miss the sun while I'm inside working.

Aaaaand today I wore a headband for the first time in what feels like decades. (Probably just a couple of years, but still.) I never used to wear headbands much, or any hair accessories for that matter. But in this past year I've started wearing accessories like bows and pretty clips. And now, headbands.

It's always fun trying out new hairstyles every now and then! Plus this headband (one I found buried under years of random clothing items) happened to match my shirt perfectly. So a win-win, really.

You can probably tell I'm a bit low on blog post ideas when I devote one entirely to a headband.... It's been a slow week idea-wise. More interesting things to come, I promise!

Online Shopping Wishlist

Hey everyone! It's Thuuursday. And as I've spent the last hour or so browsing stores online instead of studying, I thought I'd share some of my finds with you!

Wishlist.

  1. Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron. I've been wanting a new flat iron for a while now, yet want to do lots of research and such before I decide on one! I've heard amazing things about this Sedu flat iron.
  2. Iced Coffee Date Wedges from Modcloth. These shoes are so cute. A pair of wedges like these are just what I need for the spring and summer!
  3. Food Stylista Dress from Modcloth. I absolutely adore Modcloth's selection of dresses. One day, after I've accumulated a decent amount of money, I feel I must go on a Modcloth dress buying spree.
  4. Warm Palette from Coastal Scents. So. Many. Colours. Plus it's on sale right now! That must be a sign!
  5. Tortoise Shades from Satterday. A new pair of sunglasses is high on my list right now, and this pair is adorable. Definitely keeping my eyes open for a similar pair when I next go shopping.
There is my wishlist! SO many cute things available right now. What are some online stores you enjoy perusing?

Etsy Wishlist

As you may have gleaned from previous posts, I have a small obsession with Etsy. Okay, a big obsession. Just so awesome! I can't help it!

And with that love comes a ridiculously long list of things I am desperately wanting to buy... I'll try to narrow it down for you guys. Because believe me, it's long. Way longer than I care to admit.

  1. Basically anything from the Starlight Woods shop. These earrings are a personal favourite, but really, all their stuff is adorable!
2.   This Les Miserables book scarf. That's right. IT'S GOT LES MIS ON IT. I find these scarves super cool - the shop has other books on their products as well, including Sherlock Holmes, Wuthering Heights, and Pride and Prejudice. So creative! The shop is storiarts.

3.   Zodiac sign constellation necklaces. I just love the idea of wearing a constellation in that subtle, lovely way... so pretty! I really love galaxy/constellation jewellery, it's gorgeous.
4.    THESE. I have a bit of a peacock theme going for grad, and these would go PERFECTLY with my dress and shoes! Plus, they'd be good for everyday use as well - simple yet a little bit of a statement.
5.    These earrings, this entire shop really, is so delicate and lovely. Very pretty earrings, I love them!

So yes, that's my top five for now, and it was surprisingly difficult to narrow down that list... ah well, here they are. I tried to keep it mostly jewellery, but as you can see, that magnificent scarf found its way in there!

What kind of things are on your wishlists? Any Etsy envy? :)

The Watson to my Holmes

Lately I have been in a very jewellery-ish mood... in particular, rings. I'm feeling the need for a new ring, and that's the thing. (No puns, but rhymes. Not nearly as great, sorry). So I've been browsing Etsy and other places, and may I just say there are some GORGEOUS rings on Etsy?! Seriously! Here are a few of my personal favourites... ones that I am most certainly going to be considering in my hunt for my next ring.

  • Okay, are these rings great or what?! Sherlock and Watson rings? I am definitely in! I am honestly going to get these one day. SO GREAT. These particular rings are made by this shop on Etsy. Utterly fantastic.

  • Is this ring not lovely?! It is made by this person on Etsy. Go check their stuff out, it's all very pretty!

  • One type of ring I lack is big, chunky statement rings, and I feel like this type of ring would fill that hole nicely. It is just so CLASSIC - the detailing on the band, the big gem. This particular ring is made by this person on Etsy. All of their items have this really elegant, stately look!
  • And last but DEFINITELY not least, this incredibly adorable HP ring! Look at it! Look at its cuteness! I am a massive fan of this type of ring - the simple wire look - and would love a ring like this one, if not this HP one! This one is made by this shop on Etsy.

So basically what I'm saying is go look on Etsy if you're wanting amazing jewellery, fandom related or no! There is just an incredible variety of things on Etsy that constantly amaze me... the people on there are so talented and I love seeing all the cool, beautiful things that are made.

Have good weekends! I'll be trying desperately not to purchase thousands of things off of Etsy!
