Flowers!

Hi everyone!

The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous. Clear skies, bright sun, slightest breeze. I can actually feel the warmth of the sun when it hits me. It's glorious.

With this beautiful spring-like weather comes the beginnings of our spring flowers! Campus is looking amazing already, I'm so excited.

I'm so enjoying all the bright colours! I thought that these crocuses were especially gorgeous.

My Small Makeup Victory

Hi everyone!

Today I will be informing you of my small but momentous makeup victory - after an age of trial and error, I can finally make my black liquid eyeliner symmetrical on both sides. I mean, there's still some error... let's say I'm up to nailing it 80% of the time. I feel like that's something I can work with!

Here's proof!

It really is not that momentous an occasion, I suppose.... but hey, it's the little things in life :)

February Music Favourites

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday, I'm finished with class, and it's pouring outside. The perfect time to relax and listen to some of my favourite artists.

I found a lot of new music this past month, but here are a couple of the songs that really stood out for me:

Say Something by A Great Big World ft. Christina Aguilera: This song is absolutely gorgeous. I kept hearing snippets of it on the radio, in restaurants, etc, and never knew what it was until I finally found it online. I love how you can really feel the emotion in the song.

I Won't Let You Go by Snow Patrol: You can really never go wrong with Snow Patrol. I continue to enjoy the new music they create! Such a lovely song.

Only Love by Ben Howard: This entire CD, really. I love Ben Howard's unique voice, interesting instrumentals, and gorgeous lyrics. A very talented artist, I would love to see him live.

There are some of the songs and artists I have been enjoying recently! Some other artists not pictured above are Andrew Belle, The Mowgli's, and Two Hours Traffic. If you are into alternative, up-beat music, do give them a listen!

Rainy Sunday

Hi everyone! I hope you all had wonderful weeks.

It's Sunday, it's raining, and I'm nice and cozy listening to some indie music. It's really creating this excellent feeling in me.

Snow Day

Hello everyone!

It's Monday! I just returned to campus yesterday after my reading break, and was surprised by it snowing buckets here. Like, it started snowing Saturday, and it's still snowing. And heavily, too. I'm just happy I don't have to do any driving!

I also just got my chemistry midterm mark back, and did much better than I thought I did, so I am just in the best mood right now! Now it's time for a nice mug of tea, methinks.

Valentine's Day ♥

Happy Valentine's Day!

This post will be a short one, I unfortunately do have an exam tonight. But after that is reading break! Yay!

A Little Hope

Hey everyone! I hope your Februaries are off to an excellent start.

I've been horribly busy with assignments that seem never-ending, and now the sudden onslaught of midterms, so this is probably going to be one of the few blog updates I'll be posting for this next little while. And it's not a very riveting one, I'm afraid.

Life has been unexciting, but still lovely. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, though frightfully cold, but we're surviving, just a little more red-cheeked and grumbly than usual. And like I said, midterm season is upon us, so we're staying indoors with our noses tucked into our textbooks anyway.

I did managed to escape the grasp of my calculus notes for a little while yesterday, though, and took some pictures around campus. It was just before sunset and the sun was hitting the clouds in a most spectacular way. But the picture I like the best is this one:

The composition is a bit meh and it's a fairly unexciting picture, but I just love how even in this bleak, grey February weather, bright flowers can be found, even if they are tiny ones like these. Gives me a little hope, you know?

Plus it makes me even more excited for spring. I can't wait to see the fresh green and the beautiful flowers.
